Television I was very happy with this t.v and the excellent help from the lovely young lady , only gripe is that the next week the price reduced by £30 ! 09 September 2014
Looks great, great visuals too. 04 September 2014
brilliant buy. this tv has everything i wanted from a H.D tv, and it was excellent value. 02 September 2014
Great TV If you are looking for a good screen, sound and picture then this TV is perfect, however if your are looking for a modern smart tv I wouldn't recommended, you cannot add additional apps and the only one's I can use are youtube and BBC I player, netflix etc are not available. Overall a great buy for a TV size upgrade 28 August 2014
Not bad for the money Good product but sound quality is a little tinny - May invest in a sound bar but overall a good product for the money paid 27 August 2014

Programme guide timer & speakers

1 week, 5 days ago
When selecting a program from the program guide it gives you the option to "Set timer on event". What does this do?
Also what is the best option for extra speakers?

Answer:
Hello,

I can confirm that set timer on even will set a timer for the program for you so you can switch it over. Also, the speakers would depend on your personal preference

hitachi 42" smart tv

HI I'm on my second tv this year(first one broke after 4 weeks). I'd like to know how to do a factory on my tv, at the moment if I don't turn it off at the plug it switches on at 3 am which gets a bit annoying. It has also started changing channels but still playing sound from the previous channel. Hope you can help if not its going back and I'll get a better quality tv.

Answer:
i suggest that you really roam though all the options including the ones it should not be under. just done it with our tv (not hitachi) found it, did it and nothing happened. Really it's not your job. Spend a fortune ringing the number on the back of your tv, to argos customer services, or take the sob back! x

I have just purchased this tv along with the dongle, however I can not get it to connect to my wireless internet. The tv is picking up my witless network but when i type in my password it then won't connect. I can't connect it via the Ethernet cable as my tv is in the front room and router is upstairs, I'm lost as to what to do

I have read all the FAQs about connecting a sound bar.
Using red and white aux cables into headphone socket only gives sound out of one end of sound bar. So tried digital coax and no sound comes out sound bar. Please help. Any other ideas could this be a problem with the TV?

Answer:
Hi Debs,
In order to connect the product to a Wi-Fi network you will need to purchase the dongle. If however you have your router located near the television you can connect it directly to the TV using the LAN connection. With regards to Netflix the model does not support this service.

Answer:
You Sky Box will connect via one of the HDMI inputs or a scart input (depending on the age of the box). You must select this input when turning on your TV. As long as the Sky box has power and is connected to the satellite you will be able to view it.

Answer:
Hi there Popygirl,
Thats not good that you are having issues getting the product setup. I would suggest calling the Argos technical helpdesk on 0845 604 0105 so that they can run through the issue over the phone with you and they should be able to remedy the problem.

Answer:
Hi Pumkin,
Have you connected the TV to your aerial? As the prouct has a Freeview HD tuner you should receive the HD channels as soon as the product is tuned in (channel 101 for BBC1 HD).
