Plausible mattress protector for a average price. Does what is says on the..... well actually it does, its not a mattress topper that will make a naff mattress any good, but it is a half decently thick blanket/protector type thing to keep a good mattress clean. Its about an inch thick uncompressed, think of it as a very thin duvet, or thick mattress protector. Slightly thicker than others Argos have maybe, but doesnt have sides, it just ends at the edge of the mattress and has elastic to go round each corner. Bought from Argos as I can book in online at work and pick it on the way home, no delivery time and having to go to the next town to collect a missed delivery. 09 June 2013

What a pity... I bought one of these about 18 months ago and it was/is wonderful. It's plenty big enough for the mattress and it has full elasticated sides. So, I thought I'd splash out and get another for my spare room but over the last year and a half this product seems to have shrunk (the mattresses are identical and the new protector doesn't quite get to the edges) and the sides have disappeared and have been replaced with corner elasticated straps! The first one was utterly wonderful but the new version is a shadow of it's former self. Even the packaging has gone all cheap and nasty compared with the lovely zip-up bag in the image! I would have recommended the original to everyone but would not bother buying another now, unless they change it back. That said, the silky feel of the protector under the sheets is still lovely. 05 March 2013
