"Easy to cut to size and fit. Blackout material not as effective as other makes of blind we have in the house but they do significantly darken the room!

Not a Blackout Blind

"Just doesn't black out at all. I've taken photos of it hanging up and closed in the daylight and it's just a normal blind, with no blackout qualities at all. It's a great deal of trouble to get it down and return it and that is why I am angry. This will take 2 hours out of my day. Also the backing scratches off very easily leaving bright (well brighter than it is already) spots of light shining through and this was handled very carefully during installation. Do yourself a favour. Go on line and research a bit and find one that works or you too could be spending your Sunday dismantling, packing, searching for receipts, being treated like you've done something wrong for not wanting an item that is signficantly not as described, getting some substandard replacement, coming home and fitting the whole thing again. "This has to be the worst blind i have ever purchased. All the attachments and parts are cheap and flimsy. The blind itself was marked and clicked in a few places. Cutting it down to size was no mean feat either. make sure you've got a hacksaw and a day spare to sort that out. When we eventually got the thing put up, the first time we pulled the cord it snapped and one of the plastic brackets broke off and the whole thing fell down. It's going back to Argos for a refund. AVOID!!!!"

"The blind was an absolute nightmare to put up. After measuring 5cm from the edge and cutting we realised that the blind hadn't been stuck on straight so hung at an angle. Had to take the entire blind off the roll and re-align, amd then trim straight meaning I now have a gap around the edges of the window. The plastic holders are not strong enough to hold the blind in place and we are now trying to find something to wedge the blind into place so it doesn't keep falling down everytime we roll it up or down. Feel this blind would be fine for shorter widths, but would not recommend any length longer than 3ft, the brackets just can't support the weight."
