Hitachi 24In HD Ready FVHD LED TV/DVD Combi + Smart Apps. 4.4 5 84 84
easy to set up, picture etc., very good Good television, would most certainly recommend it to other buyers 24 July 2014
Cheap TV serves its purpose Easy to set up. As said above, its a good price and a good little tv. Only had it going for 1 week and having problems with losing sound and picture - but don't think this is tv - its prob free sat box...... I have no aerial. Fingers crossed its not the tv as I have just been through an ordeal with previous tv (not Hitachi) which suddenly stopped working. 16 July 2014
Pay more and get better Picture colour not great and sound appalling. Bought on offer but if I could return it I would and get something better. Was unaware until my husband bought it that you can only return it if it's faulty. 15 July 2014
Lots of features at a good price I wanted a smart TV for my office with Freeview HD and Ethernet. Lots of channels, many I won't watch, but internet supplied services may be useful. One locked the TV including remote, but otherwise OK. I've used it as a CCTV monitor and to view pictures from my computer. It plays music CDs and the DVD player seems good. The headphone socket avoids annoying other people. Smart features involved installation of nero software, but it works well. The Argos reserve and collect service was useful. 02 July 2014
ok the picture qty is ok, but can't get the screen to display all the screen 20 June 2014

Answer:
They no longer broadcast analogue television signals.

But if you are wanting to get BBC1 and the other 4 channels we all know and love from analogue, they are available in the digital freeview HD which is supplied with this product.

Answer:
Modern TVs normally use the remote controller to switch the set to standby = LED shows Red.. DVDs are controlled either by the eject on the remote or the eject button which is located on top or at back of TV. Switching off at the wall plug is always advisable when the set is on standby as the LED standby still consumes power when Red..

most cheap tvs these days are using small poor quality speakers which produce a flat tinny distorted sound, the bass and treble settings being next to useless,so i would like to know if the sound is reasonable.

Answer:
720p but on a 24" screen you'd be hard pressed to see the difference. 720p is still better than the standard transmission of 576p.

Can you record onto the DVD?
If not, are there any Television/DVD combinations that Argos sell that do let you record from the TV onto the DVD?
Thank you

Is this tv full HD? I would assume with the full hd freeview receiver it is, or is this not the case.
