Did not work for me This did not auto select and also the remote was terrible. Had to be literally one meter away from the box in order to change the selector. Was a bit pointless having it so returned for a refund. 09 January 2014

I need to connect various devices to a home cinema system, some of these carry DTS-HD Master Audio and 3D signals meaning the selector must be able to support at least v1.4

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into this for you and can confirm the Belkin 4-Way HDMI Selector is suitable for use with the Blu-ray, HD-DVD, STV, PS3, Xbox360 etc and is not able to support 1.4.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.

My TV is rather old and has only on HD inlet port. I wish to connect two separate HD receivers to the TV - a Freesat receiver and a Freeview receiver. Is this device suitable? Also, will it automatically identify which receiver is switched on and direct that signal to the TV or does it have to be switched over manually?

Answer:
Yes that is what this product is designed for. As long as the two HD receivers have HDMI outlets you should be fine.

From the Belkin website:
"Switch between 4 HDMI sources through one output cable. This high performance HDMI Switch is compatible with Blu-ray, HD-DVD, STV, PS3, Xbox360 etc. The switch can be changed with the included remote, manually or has a sensor that detects if just one source is active and sends data from that device to the HDTV."

Thank you for your question.

The Belkin 4 Way HDMI Selector will allow you to connect multiple HDMI using products to a output i.e. TV. This will make it easier to switch between sources rather than changing all of the wires around. Acting as a selector so you can pick which device is in use all whilst only using up on HDMI slot on the TV.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Answer:
Any power supply that has an output of 5V at 1A should be fine. Just make sure the plug fits in the socket.

Thank you for your question.

I can confirm that the Belkin 4 Way HDMI Selector draws power from devices using a HDMI cable, no external power supply is needed.

Connectivity...

Can the selector box be connected to the vacant end of an HDMI cable already attached to a Television?

My television is wall-mounted with cables hidden and is too difficult to access the available/direct HDMI plugs on the back of the TV.

Thank you.
