For many people in the rural areas of East Anglia, the only way to get to the main towns and cities in the eastern counties of England was by train.

There were several types of passenger train that served the Eastern corner of England, including small passenger trains usually pulled by a six wheeled locomotive of the larger variety that were hauled by the prestigious locomotives of the line.

Quite often these trains were given their own name to reflect the area that they covered.

This set was inspired by the rich period of passenger travel in the early 1950s when the steam train was a vital link to the outside world for those who lived in these rural areas.
