Nice lamp Does exactly what is says, easy to turn on and off. 12 August 2014
camping lantern brilliant. turned off lamp by remote and no having to get out of sleeping bag 05 August 2014
Worst lamp ever I purchased this light for my son to take to his first festival. I put the batteries in and there wasn't much light at all even though they were brand new batteries. He took it to the festival( where I also attended) and the next morning he informed my that the lamp didn't work at all that evening! He insisted it hadn't been dropped and I can state categorically that there are no marks, dents or scratches to it! Only conclusion is....don't waste your money on this!!!! 29 July 2014
Poor Lasted 1 hour bulb went, remote didn't work, battery back kept falling off 29 July 2014
bang on at festival Took this away for the weekend at a festival and it worked a treat. A lot brighter than I thought it would be and we only put some cheap batteries in and they easily lasted for what we needed Friday to Monday. Granted it wasn't on that much bar one night we left it on a good few hours and the last night outside the tents we stayed up late with it on and it works well outside too. The batteries didn't run out and it was perfect for what we needed it far. Well worth a tenner 23 July 2014

Might be a daft question and I'm probably missing something really obvious but I can't seem to get the batteries to fit in. there just doesn't seem to be a way for me to secure them into it. Please help!

I am looking for two lanterns that can be remote controlled for use in a stage play. They need to be controlled independently of each other. Are the remote controls unique (only work with one lantern) or would they interfere with each other?

Answer:
Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into this for you and can confirm the remote control of the Camping Lantern with Remote Control do not work independently of each other. One infra red remote will both lanterns.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.

I have had this type all lantern for quite sometime, and not used it. When I needed it, it failed due to low battery voltage. I have manage to charge the battery to just over 7 volts over a period of three days +. I think I need to replace it, as I understand it should operate at 9 volts.

Answer:
If you have put rechargeable batteries in think you need to replace them, I just bought top quality Duracell D type batteries when I bought mine works fine.
