"Got this for my daughter to help with uni projects and she thinks its brilliant, it unthreaded as she got it out of the box but as its colour coded it was easy to set up,she hasnt had any problems with the cotton snapping as in the other reviews."

"Came already threaded with white cotton, but needed to change colour so had to rethread all four . Good exercise in patience. Found it quite difficult from the diagrams but the colour coding was v. helpful, so took it slowly and logically and finally did it. A bit awkward threading the needles - probably easier if you are left handed - I'm not. No lid provided which is annoying to store - it will have to go back in the cardboard box each time not in use (not everybody has a dedicated sewing room unfortunately). So far so good with the sewing - needed to fiddle with tension to get it just right. Overall - ok if you are patient and logical - and it's best if you are ambidextrous!"
