"i found this to be a great detector, i have used this in many places and it has picked up metal to a depth of around 8". Battery life is good but just let your self get use to the sensitivity and discrimination knobs and you will have no problems.....i tend to have discrimination as low as possible and sensitivity as high as possible....i was lucky enough to get this in the half price sale but still worth it at normal price i think."

"We bought this for my son's 9th birthday and he loves it. We haven't ventured outdoors yet with it, but we've done we mini treasure hunts at home with good success. It is intended for adults, so he needed a bit of help adjusting the controls to start with, but so far so good."

"This is a REALLY GOOD entry level detector, especially as it was on offer when we bought it. The only thing I would mark it down on was the instruction booklet, as novices we needed a bit more information before we could successfully use the machine. DON'T buy this if you are a novice and want to use it immediately."

"This detector works well,dont expect it to detect gold !! that requires a much more sophisicated and expensive machine.I found £4.50 in coins the first day of use plus a lot of scrap iron,but hey scrap is fetching a top price!! Ideal for your first trip in to metal detecting,but take a packed lunch as it is very addictive."
