"Desperately needed a "silent" alarm and this is pretty near to it although I can still hear it but at least its doesn't actually wake me up."

"Sadly, the alarm part of the clock doesn't work. Well, it went off once when I had given up on it, but then back to surly silence. I wanted it for travelling, but it is rather bigger than I thought. So back to the store . . ."
