"The quality of this item I would describe as average.
While putting the bookcase together I found that a number of the pre drilled holes were out of line resulting in a poor fit and on one resulted in the screw pushing though the cabinet side.

Better if sample available before purchase

"I bought this, the one 1/2 the size and the CD one - all in the same range.
I would def. call it light oak, not beech.
It doesn't match with my other beech furniture.
It went up OK and we chose only to use the back panel on the CD case - to prevent loosing CDs down the back, especially as we put this one inbetween the other 2 units.
Overall, they do what they are meant to do, but if I had been able to see a sample before purchase, I would not have bought them."

"Good, sturdy book case that looks a bit more expensive than it is when assembled. Only real issue is most of the screws self tap into the wood. I'm not a weak person by any means, but getting them tight was very difficult - eventually, after I'd given myself blisters on my hand, I resorted to using my bike-tool that's L shaped to get the necessary torque. Not a big problem, just make sure you've got high torque screwdriver if you're not built like a gorilla!"

"This item was very easy to assemble and the shelves had a very good range of adjustment.
I needed a shoe rack to tidy up my back porch and this was perfect for the job !
The depth of the shelves was just right to take boots and shoes, I could fit four pairs of shoes on each shelf. With six shelves available for storage, it has proved to be the best shoe rack on the market !! ( And very smart looking too ! )"
