How to get Windows® 7

Have you bought a new PC or laptop recently?

All PCs and laptops running Vista Home Premium which were purchased from Argos between 26th June 2009 and 31st January 2010 will be eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium.

Simply visit the web link to the relevant manufacturer and follow the instructions to register for the upgrade. You may require your proof of purchase to complete this process. Once complete you will be sent an upgrade disc with instructions on how to install your new Windows system.

Have an older PC or laptop that you want to upgrade?

You can still upgrade your PC or laptop to enjoy the brand new features of Windows 7 as long as it is compatible with the minimum requirements:

  • 1.00GHz processor or faster
  • 1GB RAM or more
  • 16GB available hard disk space
  • DirectX 9 graphics device
