| Formats supported | The more formats the better. Basic is Text, but many others exist. |
| Font sizes | Some readers support multiple font sizes for ease of reading. |
| Grey scale | Readers with multiple grey scales are more legible. |
| Size and weight | Typically less than the average paperback. |
| TFT | Viewing screen similar to computer monitor. Usually brighter than E-Ink® and in full colour. |
