Fridges and Freezers

Energy efficiency – refrigeration appliances carry energy symbols, which give guidance on their energy efficiency and performance. When buying an electrical appliance, choosing and energy efficient one makes sense to the pocket and the environment.

Size - the most important considerations when buying a fridge freezer are the available space within the kitchen and your shopping habits. If you buy lots of fresh food regularly you may wish to consider a model with a larger capacity fridge. All our capacity measurements are in net litres.

Energy Efficiency is rated using A through to G. A being the most efficient, G being the least efficient.

Frost free - look out for frost free models as these mean you never have to defrost your freezer again

CFC and HFC - all refrigerators are now CFC free with many also being HFC free, this means they do not contain refrigerant, which could contribute to the greenhouse effect

American Fridge Freezers - these stylish and practical refrigerators offer large and flexible storage space which makes them a perfect choice for families.

*Remember: Old fridges must be disposed of carefully - older models contain CFC gases that are harmful - if in doubt, contact your local council for details on how to dispose of an old fridge.
