"I was looking for something that could handle frequent abuse by luggage handlers at the airports.
I got this holdall but returned it in favour of Revelation Nexus Large wheeled suitcase. Here are the pluses and minuses:
I got this holdall but returned it in favour of Revelation Nexus Large wheeled suitcase. Here are the pluses and minuses:
+ this holdall looks very sturdy and is very spacious
+ it has the extra water-proof compartment on top where you can put items that could soil the rest of your luggage, like shampoos (which can burst) or dirty boots. It is large enough to accommodate a pair of size 12 winter boots, and more.
+ good-sized wheels which would survive quite a bit of rolling on rough surfaces

- once fully packed, it gets swollen sideways which makes it difficult to carry with one hand, as it bounces your leg with every step
- it has two small net sleeves on the inside of the main pocket. Each of them about 70% of A5 format, but the worst thing is they are longer than deeper and cannot be zipped so there is nothing to stop little items placed there to get scattered all over the bag whiles travelling

The reasons I went for Antler Revelation Nexus Wheeled 77cm suitcase from Argos over that one are:
- same capacity
- stiff construction, which means the content doesn't get as much pressed by other bags in transit, as in the holdall (however, it must be said this holdall is completely stiff at the bottom)
- easier to carry by the handle as it is much more narrow in comparison, and does not interfere with your stride
- it has four wheels for effortless gliding on smooth surfaces. Not a big selling point for me, as I like to carry stuff, or drag behind me, but people of lesser posture will find it very useful

"Holdall was strong and spacious, but description was very misleading. Looks like it has a zipped lower section, but it had not. Said to have a 7yr guarantee but unfortunately the label on case said only 1yr guarantee.
Returned case to Argos who were very obliging and they did not know about the error's."

"Bought because light weight but looks sturdy, smart, larger than I thought. Still to go on test flight or would prob give 5 stars.
Other reviews say it will not stand on end - put a plastic tub with its base standing along short side of bag (i.e. the 'footer/wheel' end of trollley ) fill with heavier items. This gives a more solid 'base' to stand on - worth a try."
