"The throughput of this device seems to be very good. There's no speed measurement as such, but you get a feel for how fast it is by using BBC iPlayer, YouTube, etc.
The set up was a breeze on the Sony Bravia KDL-40EX723. I had a degree of scepticism about whether it would be reliable and whether the throughput would be too low (compared to wired Ethernet) to watch programmes/films on the Internet, but it has been really impressive and has presented no problems at all.
Streaming from BBC iPlayer or LoveFilm has been far better than expected and 99% of the time without any pauses at all. The TV is probably 20ft away from the WiFi router and through two walls, so the dongle is having to work for its living! Our router is not new, but it is a Wireless-N router, so I guess you would expect good results.
The obvious slight downside is the high price, which hopefully should come down over time and as more and more people interface their TV’s to the Internet. If it’s any help, we are so glad we got the TV onto the net; it has transformed our viewing habits!"
