"Bought this meter as my girlfriend had just received a huge bill, was simple to set up as we were interested in electricity used rather than the cost. It highlighted that the energy usage was constant, it also highlighted the reason for the huge bill is my girlfriends inability to read the analogue meter!
Easy to set up, connect to a computer and download the data for analysis. Can't seem to set up the cost to take account of the daily charge. The green house gas setup is also a bit under-explained, although if you care about these things then I suspect you would have a better understanding of the figures required.
New digital meter on order from electric company btw..."

"The family had tried to be more energy conscientious but we didn't have a way of seeing that we are having any impact. The OWL was really easy to set up and immediately starts giving you usage information. It is very clear to see what the impact is of turning off lights, turning down heating etc.
My tiered tarrif cannot be entered but a simple average calculation gives you a good indication of cost (I am not using this to check my meter reading).
With easy linkage to my PC to download usage it has done everything I expected it to do and has done it well.
I would really recommend all energy conscious people have a monitor like this - it makes you and the children think about power usage and that's got to be a good thing."

"Great product, help to monitor electricity comsumption and can be addictive. One should be careful or else you end up switching all your hearter off even when it's frozen. Cold kills..."
