"... good in parts. It's very stylish and easy to wipe clean, but unfortunately the touch screen display is so sensitive that you can't wipe it clean withuot switching it on, making it beep and flash at you. The display is good and bright when lit, but the light goes out after a few seconds so you have to keep prodding it to make it come back on. It claims to 'weigh' units of capacity (fl oz and ml) as well as grams and lbs/oz, which is nonsense, and simply results in two extra steps when you want to change from grams to lbs/oz. It's 'tare' function is good - if you remove the container you're using then replace it, it 'remembers' its weight rather than adding it to the contents, as my old electronic scales did. However, unlike my old scales, it only gives you a minute before switching off the display altogether, which can be irritating when you've stopped to open a new bag of flour in the middle of weighing."

Excellent, with small caveats

"The Hanson stainless steel scale is a cut above all other Argos scales albeit with a small caveat.
It's handsome with a shiny stainless steel surface and clear bright blue digits, measures not only ounces and grams but millilitres too. Large enough so that the display is not obscured when a measuring dish is placed on top, and quite accurate. Also features a useful timer button, curves at the top for easy hanging on a rail and runs on four readily available AAA batteries instead of CR2032.
I'm docking one point for the fact it is less tolerant of uneven surfaces than the Salter scale I previously had. If the scale is not fully on a flat and level surface, or if you're unfortunate enough to have food stuck to the bottom, it's liable to completely throw off the measurement (the scale seems to measure using sensors attached to all four feet).
Keep the above in mind, and it's an excellent scale and well worth purchasing."

"Sleek and stylish - store on rail out of the way. Even put your wine glass on scale and it will tell you how many ml you have in the glass - hows that for a diet!"
