"The item arrived with a few surface scratches, was very awkward to assemble, so much so that having got three quarters of the way through it I decided enough was enough and decided to return it for a refund. I appreciate it isn't a £1k unit but in my experience it was poorly finished and unsturdy. Argos were fine about returning the unit (and my reasons why) so must be commended on that point."

Looks ok from a distance

"I bought this to go with the dining set and 8 skirted chairs, to replace a similar MFI unit. The MFI unit was far superior! This again like the table top, could do with a good sand in places as it is rough to the touch. The drawers are too shallow to hold all the junk i'd managed to squirrel away in the other sideboard, and the shelves are not sufficiently adjustable, so i am unable to store all the bottles of wine we've acquired without lying them on their side! I've also had to find a new home for the vases and sewing machine i stored in the old sideboard. Overall i'm really disappointed because the dimensions of this were bigger, and the 3 drawer, 3 door layout the same, which is why i chose it! Looks nice from a distance, but you wouldn't be able to pass it on as a family heirloom, because it's not that sturdy!"
