You can only use one sort (ll-hm)

As above can only charge one sort of battery. Waste of money. Should make this clear

Works well, but the design, although attractive is not very practical and is difficult to store. needs. to stay on a flat surface..

will the NiMH batteries hold their charge if not wanted for immediate use.?

Having looked into your query, I can advise NiMH hold there charge for between 30 and 60 days when not in use.

can all four batteries be charged at same time

is the plug separate

I can confirm that all four batteries are charged at the same time with the exception of the 9v which can only be charged 2 at a time.

do i need to buy the full number of batteries? (ie 4 D type)

Because I only need 2 for my appliance - but the Product Info says charges 4 D batteries.

BATTERY SAFETY WARNING.

Never mix zinc carbon/chloride, alkaline or rechargeable batteries. Never mix old and new batteries or attempt to recharge ordinary batteries.
