Clever multi-use device & NO NEED for BATTERIES!

Wonderfully designed product! I bought batteries to go with it, not realising that it doesn't need any, and never will! All it takes is a few seconds of winding the sleekly incorporated handle to have light. And lots of it. The v. bright lantern is at one end (with a hanging hook in the lid) so you can see under your car bonnet at a roadside breakdown. The torch is at the other end - the LED's last forever too! A cigarette lighter charger + lead is included AND you can charge your phone! F-A-B!

How do you charge a phone from the phone charging socket, and what makes of phone can you charge?

The place where it says the phone should be charged is just a hole so I'm not sure how that could connect to my phone.

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into this for you and I can confirm that the manufacturers have informed me that you will need to purchase a lead that will connect the torch and the phone together to allow the phone to charge. You will need to take your phone and the charger to a specialist phone shop to purchase the lead suitable for your phone.
