Excellent purchase.

Bought this radio alarm clock to replace one that had broken after a considerable number of years. Decided to purchase the same make and was not disappointed, great design and features are as good if not better than before. Would recommend this without any reservations whatsoever.

Easy set up - just plug in for correct time.

Good in all respects, except instructions. The alarm has programmed settings but, honestly, I can't find how to set it for single days as required. I may have to telephone Roberts for guidance. Pretty humiliating !

Does this run off the mains as well as batteries

This may seem a silly question, but in the catalogue every radio/clock/alarm mentions mains and battery. This one only says it runs off batteries. Surely this is just an oversight and it runs off the mains as well?

Hi ArgosFan,

I can confirm that this does run off of the mains as well as batteries

Thank you for using Argos Q&A

I have one of these and can assure you that it does run off the mains. I like the fact that there is no discernible mains hum, which is what you want for a bedside clock. Nice and quiet. The radio is a letdown though as it's a bit tinny.

how bright is the display

Im looking for a clock that doesn't light up the whole room at night
