Tall hedges getting out of control? The Spear and Jackson 45cm Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer is an 18V tool for reaching high growth safely. The telescopic pole extends fully so you'll work from the ground instead of ladders. Diamond-ground blades cut cleanly through stems up to 16mm thick. You'll trim at different angles using the pivot head without straining your arms. Dual action blades reduce vibration as you work for better comfort. The quick-stop brake and electronic brake improve safety during operation.
It's powered by a Li-Ion battery that runs for up to 20 minutes per charge. You'll get back to work quickly with the one-hour charging time. The 45cm blade length handles medium hedges efficiently without multiple passes. A soft-grip rear handle keeps control comfortable even on longer jobs. The shoulder strap takes the weight so you won't tyre as quickly. At just 3.5kg it's light enough for extended trimming sessions. Good cutter good reach not to heavy bought for my brother in law who needed one for his mothers garden he found it vey easy to use and safety come first with cut out.

Well worth the money
This is great, I already had the hedge cutter so the batteries are are the same, it's much lighter than my old petrol trimmer so it's much easier and a lot lighter to use for an oldie like me, the blades are really sharp and cut with no problem, the price for the quality is great, I can reach to top of my conifer hedge with no problem at all and the hedge is 2 meters high, the safety features mean i can cut in confidence without worrying unlike my petrol one, it is very easy to use, I have not had any problem at all with any form of vibration using this, my old petrol one used to make my hand tingle and my arms ache, I have not had any problems like this with my new cutter, really good quality, great price and very easy to use.

Whilst much lighter than my 10kg 240 volt cable powered hedge cutters the manipulation is not that easy for an octagenarian. A right angled handle would be a distinct advantage to provide better balance. Cutting is good for trimming privet, conifer and laurel to the specified brach/twig diameter.
