Worked wonders with my car battery

My battery kept losing charge due to the alternator not working properly. This helped me keep my battery fully charged overnight until I could get the alternator fixed. Brilliant!!

Good little trickle charger

I bought this to keep a little used motorbike gel battery topped up and it does the job. The bike starts first time every time since I connected this charger.

Can I leave it charging for 3 months un attended?

As the car rests in the winter can I leave it hooked up to your charger to maintain the battery for 3 months say, without damaging the battery?

This charger is specifically designed to be left connected permanently for standby float charging so it will not damage or over-charge your battery......unless it becomes faulty of course!

Hello Baal and thanks for your query,

I can confirm that if the Streetwize 12V Trickle Car Battery Charger was left on your vehicle for as long as three months, the car battery is likely to run completely flat much quicker thereafter. There have been instances where people have damaged their battery to this extent by leaving the charger attached to their car batteries for a prolonged period of time, so it is ill advised. It would be better to charge the battery towards the end of this three month period, before the vehicle's next use, to ensure the battery can fulfill its maximum potential.

I hope I was able to help!
