The dinner set looks great
The dinner plates are large as are the side plates which is what I wanted
Looks lovely, great value
Bought two sets just before Christmas as our old crockery was past its best. I love this set. The quality feels good. They are dishwasher, Microsoft wave and oven safe making them great for every day use! I will be buying more from the same range to complete the set.
Great dinner set with nice size of plates. Fabulous design and well priced.
The pieces in this set are indeed available but separately, but not from Argos - we currently only sell them as part of this 12 set.
Have a good day. :)

I have contacted the supplier for you. Their response is quite detailed and lengthy but I thought you should see the full reply:
Metal Marking, is when deposits of the metal from the cutlery you are using are left behind in the glaze.
Denby glazes are much harder than metal and when a Denby product comes in to contact with a metallic surface i.e. from cutlery, metal sink or dishwasher drainer, jewellery, etc., it is possible for the metal to wear and leave a tiny deposit on the glaze. This appears as a grey line where the surfaces meet. Powerful detergents, especially in dishwashers, can subject glazes to harsh environments where the glaze surface can be attacked and become more vulnerable to metal marking.
Additionally other variables can further influence the extent of the metal marking, such as;
1. The applied force (amount of pressure exerted by the knife on the glaze surface).
2. The top temperature of the water in the dishwasher cycle, higher temperatures can cause more attack
3. How often the item is used
The causes are therefore complex and interactive, with even the water hardness of the area also playing a part.
Metal marking is therefore not considered to be a fault in the product, more a result of various interacting conditions.
I hope this helps

The James Martin range is very durable but as this is pottery and due to the nature of the materials it is made from we cannot guarantee it will not chip or break if items are dropped or knocked. With regard to scratch marks, these are usually due to the glazes on the pottery being harder than the metal cutlery itself used so metal residue is left on the plate.
