Customers Say
Good quality, space-saving folding door, easy to install with smooth sliding and decent insulation. Cutting to size can be tricky and some parts feel flimsy or have minor defects.

Check the strip for pre drilled holes
I bought this but there are no pre drilled holes on the plastic strip where you attach the magnets. Looks nice. I just have the magnets on the door frame. There is one for £20 but for an extra £5 you can get double insulated one

Great price
Great doubled skin doors. Good price wasn’t sure about the colour but they’re okay. Much better than our previous folding doors. Installation can be tricky & cutting to size.

Keeps the cold out
Good door, easy to fit but our side bit broke when pushing it into the clips, exchanged it but did it again just covered it with some silicone as it keeps the heat in and is just what we need. Slides and magnet bits are great to close too.

Adaptable Door
I bought two of these doors, one for an airing cupboard and one for an under stairs cupboard. The under stairs cupboard door was more straight forward, as I only needed to reduce the width. The old and now unused airing cupboard had a much smaller hinged door that used so much wall space. I laid out the new door on a clean surface and carefully cut the bottom and top equally, making sure that the handles kept as central to the frame as possible. Also important to remember the fixed magnetic area when you calculate the cut. I dismantled the door completely and cut each section to size, remembering the orientation of the joiner strips. It did take a while to do this and select the right width panel, but the results were very good.

Nightmare to trim to fit!
The sliding door is good once fitted, but is pretty flat at the full width of 840mm - 700mm would be a better appearance. But the fitting instructions are dreadful. I am a competent DIYer but it took me two full afternoons to trim the door to length ( I had to do it three times) and fit it. What is unclear on the instructions is that you include the runners at the top of the door when measuring it before cutting. 17 screws have to be removed before cutting, and then replaced, all while keeping the individual leaves lined up. But we got there in the end.

White Oak Effect Double Skin Folding Door:
Yes, you can fit one at the bottom of stairs, as long as you’ve got a proper doorway opening and enough clearance. It’s best suited as a light divider rather than a heavy-duty or safety door.
Thank you for using Q & A.
I have one of these doors for my downstairs cupboard, which is significantly narrower than 84cm. The door can be fitted in spaces UP TO 84cm. The narrower the space the more the Concertina effect might bunch up, but thats all.
