Good size and looks smart.

For a metal filing cabinet, this one looks good and not out of place where it is situated. Feels sturdy and can hold adequate files.

Value for money

This is a relatively lightweight unit, don't rely on locks for serious security. It's for A4 suspension files, not foolscap. Was delivered on day I arranged with text beforehand confirming the hour of delivery. No problems with unit so far.

Filing cabinet

Very good for the price. Not too heavy, and has two lockable drawers. Only two downsides are: a bit light, so can tip forward if you put too much in the upper drawers, and the drawers are narrower than my files, so had to put them in lengthways.

Suspension Files

Thinking of buying this 4 drawer cabinet but really confused with the reponses relating to suspension files. Will A4 green Manila sus files (875/3720) that you are advertising fit this cabinet? Some answers say yes, then some say no??? Can you please advise.

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into your query and I can confirm that the Pack of 20 A4 Green Manila Suspension Files can be used with the Silver and Black Metal Filing Cabinet.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.

Is this weighted on the bottom to prevent it toppling when the drawers are opened when full?

1 Answer

Hello there,
After being in contact with Henry Pierre I have had this response:

"We put holes in the back of our cabinets so they can be secured to a wall / vertical surface to prevent them falling forward when the top two drawers are opened when loaded. We advise that the bottom drawer is filled before higher drawers are filled."

I hope this was useful,
Thank you for using Argos Q&A
