PIR Security light

The first light had to be returned - the bracket was misshapen. It was obvious it was in the manufacturing because the paint was in excellent order. The shop replaced it and it works fine.

Good product

This is a good reasonably priced product. However, I was very disappointed that I had to buy a bulb separately even though the catalogue clearly stated bulb was included. Not such a good price with the cost of the bulb costing extra. Please correct your catalogue Argos.

Security light cat number 432/7033 keeps coming on

The light was bought last May and has been working OK. But latelt it has started coming on witrhout outside movement. I t has not been adjusted in any way and nothing outside has changed. I have looked for the instructions but cannot find them. I was going to try to adjust the sensitivity but dont know which adjuster to turn and which way or when to do it!!! As it has started doing it without any changes is it likely that it is now faulty and Argos should replace it. Thoughts....

I had a problem with another PIR security light that kept coming on and going off at random intervals without any reason i found in the end the PIR sensor was at fault but these lights are so cheap even if it only lasts a couple of years its no pain to get another one

I can answer my own question now. I found the book and followed the instructions and saw that the two adjusters were already in the correct settings. The light is coming on even more often so I have pointed the sensor fully down and turned the duration to minimum. so it just keeps coming on but only for a short period.
If Argos read these reports will they let me know if they will replace the unit. I have the bill from May of last year. Anyone any other ideas.

Does this have am overide setting eg turning off and on quickly leaves light on permanently.

The PIR Security Light - 120 Watt will not be able to turn on an off quickly as it has a 6 second delay before it turns on. There is not an override so the light can be left on permanently.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.

is it battery operated. If so which battery?

Hi Michael -

Thanks for using Q and A -

This particular light is mains operated and as such would need wiring by an electrician .

Hope this helps.
