Beautiful

Beautiful lamp and really pretty to watch with lots of light colour options but wow is it noisy!!! And you do have to buy your own water to set it up (I neglected to read that bit) ... would say that I'd have liked it if it sealed properly once you filled it just to put kids off playing with the water

Lava lamp leaks

The product looked fantastic and for the first couple of nights by 6 year old daughter was entranced with a permanent smile on her face. However it then started leaking through the base. We had a replacement which also leaked immediately in the same place. There is obviously a quality issue here that needs addressing. It also does not seem clever that there is water leaking around the electric supply. My advice is buy something else.

This is a lovely lamp very theraputic to watch but it leaks, it leaves a pool of water around the base.

Does this lamp have to be filled with water and if so does it need to be changed every 5 days or so?

The tall bubble fish lamp needs to be filled with distilled water and needs to be changed every 5 days. This I think is high maintenence for a lamp and so wonder if this lamp is the same as otherwise I think I would just get real fish!

You dont need distilled water, tap water is fine, and we havent changed ours for 10 weeks, its fine. Prob should be changed regularly otherwise is would go slimey.

You fill it once with distilled water, its very noisy when switched on.

are there actual fish in it is that the reason we need to refill every now and then?

The fish are plastic. Real fish would not survive. This is for entertainment only.
The water will evaporate after time and you will need to refill the tank.

Hello there,

The are plastic fish within this unit, the reason for refill is for evaporation of water over time.
