Great Colours

Good lamp with great effects, the changing colours are really good and the fish float really well.

Great novelty idea

After a few teething problems this product is really good. At first the fish all floated to the top, even after washing. But after getting all the air bubbles out it works a treat! A bit on the noisy side, and having to buy distiller water was a pain, but worth it!

Lava Aquarium Fish Lamp

Since my fish tank cracked and I lost all my "real" fish, I decided to try this product out. It is slightly noisy, but very effective and a lot easier to look after than the real thing!

Does this lamp get hot when left on for a period of time?

1 Answer

This Colour Changing Lava Aquarium Fish Lamp does not heat up as it uses LEDs.

I hope this helps.

Does this lamp have to be filled with water and if so does it need to be changed every 5 days or so?

The tall bubble fish lamp needs to be filled with distilled water and needs to be changed every 5 days. This I think is high maintenence for a lamp and so wonder if this lamp is the same as otherwise I think I would just get real fish!

You dont need distilled water, tap water is fine, and we havent changed ours for 10 weeks, its fine. Prob should be changed regularly otherwise is would go slimey.

You fill it once with distilled water, its very noisy when switched on.

Does the water tip from the top?

is it a screw top? will water tip if it is knocked over?

1 Answer

There is a seal underneath the decorative cap which should minimise or prevent any spillage if the lamp is knocked over, however we would recommend placing the lamp in a safe location to limit the possibility of it being knocked over.
