Cookworks travel kettle

Excellent kettle - boils quickly and easy to use. Especially the dual voltage facility - good for the carribean. Only drawback is the cups included are very small so you may need to take some larger ones with you on holiday.

What power is this kettle

How many Watts are needed to operate this kettle?

According to the inverter I use in my van, it uses 535W at 240V. There don't appear to be any power surges with it either.

Hi, thank you for your question.

Having looked into this for you, I can confirm that the wattage for the kettle will depend on the voltage that this is being used with, the kettle will use between 416-672Watts.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Yes it does switch off automatically. So no need to stand over it waiting,,,

Helpful?

Yes, it switches off once boiled. I would recommend you don't fill it too full as it takes a second or 2 to switch off and hot water can boil out of the spout if it is overfilled.

Boring but important info

ARE YOU TAKING YOUR APPLIANCE OVERSEAS?

If so this simple guide may help. If your appliance has automatic or universal voltage there is no need to make any adjustment. If your appliance has a dual voltage switch you will not need to change the setting for European countries, most of which have 220-230V supply systems, although an adaptor would be required. However, if you take your appliance to the USA or Japan, you will need to change to the 110-130V setting. Please take great care to switch back to the 220-230V setting on your return to the UK or other European country.
