perfect slow cooker

During a long searching for a slow cooker which meet my needs, this one is the perfect one. The pot inside is ceramic made which great for cooking a healthy meal. So far I have cooked, chick peas, beans, lentils and beef stew, and everything was well cooked through and the flavour is good as well. For me it's amazing how well it cooks! I'm very happy to find it.

Value for money slow cooker

Bought this as it was recommend by Which and I'm not disappointed. Its not got any gimmicky controls, you just turn it on and let it cook. That said, it doesn't have an automatic off so if that is an issue maybe you should search around for another cooker. The glass lid seems a bit on the thin side, not sure how much of a knock it will take. Other than that the build and quality seems quite good.

Hi there,

I have looked into this and can confirm that this slow cooker requires at least 1L of food & water in order for it to function as intended.

Is it economical to use a slow cooker overnight to cook than using a conventional pot over owen cooking?

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have checked this for you and found that although you are using a slow cooker over a longer period the slow cooker is more economical than an oven as you are required to heat the whole oven to cook.

Thank you for using Q & A.

Hi, thank you for your question.

I have looked into this and can confirm that the Cookworks Signature 6.5 Litre Slow Cooker is 320 watts. The higher the wattage the more it will cost to run the appliance. Without knowing the wattage of your oven I would not be able to say if this is more economical or not. However, I have found out that slow cookers generally use less energy to cook the same amount of food as other methods so are more economical.

Thank you for using Question and Answer.
