Not a good item!

Hi, I bought this slicer in the hope that it would help me slice my Serano Ham into lovely thin slices. It was just awful, didn't slice at all, anything I tried just got stuck in the blade and proved to be difficult to wash. So A big no to this item!!!

Not a good buy

After my previous low priced bread slicer this was hopeless in comparison, so much so that I can't bear to use it after 2 attempts and have since bought another.

Basic Food Slicer

This is a basic food slicer hence the price. It isn't very stable when in use & is difficult to clean. It slices meat & bread ok but it is not a slicer I will use on a regular basis.

can i use this slicer to cut meat thinly like salami and palma ham

10 Answers

Should not be a problem as the machine does have a variable cut control on it.

Yes you can! It slices cooked meat perfectly - much easier than struggling with a knife. It's also easier to clean than some of the other reviews suggest. The fold up base comes off for cleaning (even though it does not say so in the instructions) and all the removeable bits go in the dishwasher. Best little kitchen tool I've purchased in a while!

yes you can, all you have to do is turn the big white cerical to left or right it will slice it thin or thick

if you're looking for wafer thin like from the deli then no.

Yes, it will cut meat that thinly.

yes, no problem have used for pizza toppings and party sandwiches, allowing the meat to go much further without losing taste!!!

Yes, you just set the blade to whatever thickness you want.

Hi there,
I cooked a ham joint and sliced it quite thin. I am not sure you would get wafer thin, but it depends on how much pressure you put on the meat as it goes through blade.
it does have an adjustable thickness guide and if you put it on the thinnest i should think it would be ok.

Yes if you have plenty of time

yes, adjustable from 1m to 15mm

that`s good for cutting meat aswell?

I have one and its brilliant for cutting meat any reasonable thickness

I found this slicer fabulous for slicing joints of meat.

Best for bread because one area is difficult to clean, See my review.

How do you clean this

Please can you tell me what you have to do to clean this as I understand that some food slicers aren't easy to clean. I've read that this one is easy to clean but I'd like to know more information about this.
