food slicer

ideal for slicing meat but slicing bread not very good, if the bread is to soft and hollow in middle it chews the bread rarther than slicing it but for the price its still a good toy for the kitchen.

Love for 10 years

We make bread at home and have used the slicer for 10 years when it packed. The replacement is very much the same but with a very stiff switch so it is not suitable for arthritic hands.

can i use this slicer to cut meat thinly like salami and palma ham

10 Answers

Should not be a problem as the machine does have a variable cut control on it.

Helpful?

Yes you can! It slices cooked meat perfectly - much easier than struggling with a knife. It's also easier to clean than some of the other reviews suggest. The fold up base comes off for cleaning (even though it does not say so in the instructions) and all the removeable bits go in the dishwasher. Best little kitchen tool I've purchased in a while!

yes you can, all you have to do is turn the big white cerical to left or right it will slice it thin or thick

Helpful?

if you're looking for wafer thin like from the deli then no.

Helpful?

Yes, it will cut meat that thinly.

Helpful?

yes, no problem have used for pizza toppings and party sandwiches, allowing the meat to go much further without losing taste!!!

Helpful?

Yes, you just set the blade to whatever thickness you want.

Hi there,
I cooked a ham joint and sliced it quite thin. I am not sure you would get wafer thin, but it depends on how much pressure you put on the meat as it goes through blade.
it does have an adjustable thickness guide and if you put it on the thinnest i should think it would be ok.

Yes if you have plenty of time

How do you clean this

Please can you tell me what you have to do to clean this as I understand that some food slicers aren't easy to clean. I've read that this one is easy to clean but I'd like to know more information about this.
