Works well, good warmth

This was for my mother, gives immediate warmth which is what she needs. Easy to operate once the base was screwed on. The light is very bright would be my only criticism of this particular model. In general these heaters are very effective but in my experience the halogen bulbs don't last that long

I'm on a budget, so is it economical to run please

Hi there,

As this is a halogen, it’s more efficient than a fan one.
KWhour of electricity is around £0.10
1.2KW heater on for 1 hour = 10p x 1.2 = 12p
So it is fairly economical

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.

how many kw does it use in an hour on full power

2 Answers

Power is a measure of energy over time, so on full power it consumes 1.2kW, for an hour it consumes 1.2 kWh of energy (1.2 x 1), a rough cost of 1 kWh of electricity is 15p, therefore an hour's use at full power will cost 18p (1.2kWh x 15p, and 7.5p at the lowest setting 0.5kWh x 15p).

Hello!

For the Prolectrix 1.2kW Halogen Heater. Apologies we do not hold energy cost information for appliance, this information should be sought through your energy supplier as costs can vary. I can advise that on full power this appliance is 1.2kW and has 3 heat settings, the lowest setting being approximately 0.5kW, this will work on a 13amp, standard 3 pin plug, 230-240V~50hz.

I hope this helps and enjoy the rest of the day!
