I have checked for you and the Argos Value Range 2kW Convector Heater runs on 2kwh. Based on the average price of the 2.90, the price to run this is approximately 5.8p per hour. Please check with your service provider the cost they charge per kwh for a more accurate cost.

About a pound per day depending on your electrical cost contract.

how economical is the heater?

The description of the heaters is fairly comprehensive,yet does not have a rudimentary economy scale.The scale would be very helpful in these times of energy price rises.

I'm not quite sure. But what I do know is since the heat settings can be can reduce to the minimum heat output 750 and keep runnning. That should make a lot of sense with energy consumption, as in 'Room is warm on the lowest heat.' Great !

How much spend a month if I switch on 2 hours a day?

2 Answers

Assuming you had it on full power (2Kw) 2 hours would equate to 4Kwh per day.

Months with:
30 days = 120Kwh
31 days = 124Kwh
February = 112Kwh
February on a leap year = 114Kwh

How much a Kilowatt hour costs you will depend entirely on price you pay for your electric. But assuming the average of 13p per unit

30 days = £15.60
31 days = £16.12
February = £14.56
February on a leap year = £14.82

Hope this helps.
