Hello, thank you for your enquiry. The advantages of an oil free heater is that they are environmentally friendly - no oil to dispose of at end of life, have a faster warm up with no cold spots or risk of leaks and they are lighter in weight, making them easier to manoeuvre. Thank you for using Argos Q&A.

Hi there,

I can confirm that the electricity usage for a 3kw oil filled radiator compared to a 3kw non oil filled radiator will be the same.

The other differences are that the oil filled radiator will be heavier & will take longer to heat up but will retain that heat for longer compared to the non oil radiator.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.

Hello,

This heater must be plugged in to use. To avoid overloading or overheating it is advised to plug the heater straight into a 13a socket as opposed to an extension lead or multi-plug adaptor.
