Is valve/burner positioning correct?

I am concerned that the positioning of the valves into the burner venturi is not correct on my barbecue. The valve tips barely enter the venturi tubes. I certainly would not describe it as being completely in as the instructions seem to take care to point out. The valves are about 10mm away from reaching the stop point and are barely visible through the air intake slots as shown in the pictures. Can you tell me if this is correct?

1 Answer

Hi Adam,

We have received a few questions regarding this issue recently, Our supplier has advised that if the valve tip is still located into the burner venturi, the barbecue should still safe to use.

I hope this helps!

Using with butane gas

In the product description (345/0901) it says "compatible with both propane and butane gas." The standard connector supplied is for propane. I would like to use the blue 4.5 kg butane cylinders. What do I need to do to change from propane to butane? Is it just to take off the supplied regulator and connect the butane regulator to the hose? Do the injectors or anything else need changing? Do Argos sell the regulator that I would require? Many thanks.

1 Answer

Hi,

The only thing you would need to change for use with butane gas is the regulator.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.
