How long is the Auto shut off?

Does anyone make a machine without auto shut down? It is most preposterous for the machine to turn itself off after 40 mins, especially when used at a place of business where I grab a cup of coffee when I can (only to find it's gone cold)

long as we are in the EU, it will be a compulsory 40 mins switch off!!
It is an EU ruling, so you will find them all the same...untill we leave in 2 years!

The 40min Auto Shut Off is a safety law passed by the EU

I think I've read that the 40 minute cut-off time has now been altered to 20 minutes for new machines. I replaced my old coffee maker with the exact same machine, only to find that the hotplate now only stays on for 20 minutes - and by the time I've added milk it means I always end up microwaving my coffee now.

As i have come to understand it the 40 minute cut off is a safety feature introduced by the EU and it is extremely annoying

Hi there,

I can confirm that this coffee machine has an auto-shut off feature after 40 minutes.

Thanks for using Argos Q&A.
