Ready for Christmas

The big question is, when should you put up your Christmas tree and Christmas decorations? Some people like to put them up on the 1 December, but if you have a real tree, it could lose a lot of its furs before the big day. Most people generally put up their Christmas tree and Christmas decorations around 2 weeks before, or if they’re very traditional, exactly 12 days before.

When to take down your Christmas tree and Christmas decorations is less debated. 6 January – the feast of epiphany – is when most people take them down.

Argos stores will be open all the way up to Christmas Eve, but make sure you check the latest store opening hours on our store finder. We’ll still be offering Fast Track same day delivery right up until 6pm Christmas Eve. Perfect for anything you suddenly realise you’ve forgotten at the last minute.
